Completion of a Business Continuity Plan, by schools, is now a requirement of the School Financial Value Standard and/or the Academies Financial Handbook.

Headteacher Recruitment Service
Appointing a member of your leadership whether that be a Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher or Assistant Headteacher is probably one of the most important tasks that a Governing Body undertakes. There is considerable evidence indicating that the quality of a School’s leadership particularly the Headteacher, is the single most significant factor in its success.
We understand the importance of this appointment and provide support to the Governors and Selection Panel throughout the recruitment lifecycle by working in partnership to achieve a thorough and planned process that in turn will ensure the best possible candidate is appointed.
We attend the initial Governors meeting to provide examples of advert wording, welcome letters from the chair, information about the role, job specification and person specification. At this initial meeting we’ll also calculate the school group size, applicable Individual Pay Range (IPR), and support the Selection Panel in setting a salary range that is compliant with legislation.
Throughout the recruitment cycle the Chair of Governors has a named HR contact allocated to them from the Schools Support Team to provide advice and support to ensure best practice and compliance with safer recruitment is maintained throughout.
